On Monday, 15th of August Indians will start the celebrations to commemorate India’s 70th Independence Day, which marks an event of immense historical significance for the country. The spirit of Independence Day has been just not only about India’s freedom, but it is also about celebrating historical and cultural richness and values that the country has to offer.
We admire our fortune that we took birth in the land of an Independent India. As we remember all the struggle and sacrifices of our victorious leaders in conquering freedom and prosperity of India, we thank them for giving us the land of peace which is rich in culture and heritage.
It is an honour and great pleasure to celebrate this Freedom day of India in the land of the long white cloud ( NZ ) we now call our new home. Our community has grown remarkably in New Zealand making a substantial contribution by enthusiastically participating in the overall growth of the nation.
Bhartiya Samaj congratulates Indians staying in India and also across the globe on the auspicious occasion of 70th Independence Day of India. At Bhartiya Samaj our friends from various nationalities join the Indian community, which is the second largest ethnic group in New Zealand, to celebrate this remarkable event year after year. Along with the other communities and Community Welfare Organisations in Auckland region we celebrate the great and historic day.
The past year has seen Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust achieve several milestones in contributing towards the community and society at large in developing various healthy lifestyle programmes for seniors, children and youth.
We are a family of fun-loving, content and empathetic members who are full of life. Our enthusiasm helps us to create an environment of purpose and growth. Our sincere intention to support and embrace every individual who is joining and participating in the community gives us the feeling of fulfillment and satisfaction. We strive to create more such opportunities to reach the broader section of society from different phase of life.
This achievement is a testimony to the ongoing work and commitment of the Board of Trustees, Operational Staff and other Committee Members in progressing the vision behind our existence. We thank each member of our trust for their participation and enthusiasm. We look forward for a continued support for the furtherance of attaining our aim to create a happy community.
